Checkatrade Let Us Down

We were completely reliant on Checkatrade to find us a competent expert for our home improvement. We registered and posted our needs, but unfortunately, we were left high and dry.

We trusted Checkatrade to connect us with qualified tradespeople. Little did we know we were walking into a nightmare.

After/Upon/Following hiring a plumber/electrician/carpenter from their platform, we ended up with a shoddy/subpar/messy job that cost us a fortune/ dearly/ an arm and a leg. Checkatrade's response/customer service/support has been dismissive/useless/unhelpful, leaving us feeling frustrated/angry/betrayed.

It's clear to us that Checkatrade favors their own profits over the well-being/satisfaction/rights of customers. We demand/request/urge fair compensation/justice/accountability for this injustice/wrongdoing/terrible experience.

Think twice before you trust Checkatrade. Their whole operation is designed to take your money. They promise the world but they barely anything. You'll be left high and dry and nobody at Checkatrade will bat an eyelid.

It all starts with their sneaky fees, which they hide in the fine print. Then, there's the terrible helpline that's about as helpful as a chocolate teapot. You can try to get your money back, but it's like pulling teeth.

So, avoid them like the plague of Checkatrade if you value your time.

Did Checkatrade Rip Us Off?

We thought we were doing the right thing by using Checkatrade to find a reputable plumber/electrician/contractor. After all, they seemed so legitimate with their vetted traders. Boy, were we wrong! Our experience was nothing short of a disaster.

Right away, the communication from the "qualified" trader was lackluster/awful/terrible. He was unprofessional/rude/disrespectful and gave us a quote that was outrageous/ridiculous/way too high. We tried to discuss the issues, but he was adamant/unwilling/stubborn to compromise/negotiate/change.

In the end, we ended up payinga huge sum/an exorbitant amount/ way more than it should have been by this so-called "vetted" trader. Checkatrade's support was equally useless/incompetent/unhelpful. They offered us a pathetic excuse/blamed the trader/did nothing.

We're left feeling angry and suggest looking elsewhere for your tradesman needs.

My experience with Checkatrade became a total disaster. I booked a trader through their service to handle some essential home repairs. They appeared trustworthy at first, but it turned out a terrible ordeal.

Despite I paid the full amount upfront, the work completely vanished into thin air. Contact became impossible. It's been a truly agonizing period, and I'm still left with a gaping hole where my sense of security once was.

The platform itself has been useless throughout this whole process. They offered no solutions. It feels like I've been taken advantage of.
